Princess Aleksandra Petrovna Golitsyna née Protasova, later Countess (b 20 Mar 1774 - d 16 Oct 1842) and her son Pyotr Alekseevich Golitsyn (1792-1842). Daughter of senator, lieutenant-general Pyotr Stepanovich Protasov (1730-1794) and Aleksandra Anna Ivanovna Protasova née Protasova (1750-1782). Married in 1791 to master of the horse, privy councilor Prince Alexei Andreevich Golitsyn (1767-1800). Sister to Princess Vera Petrovna Vasilchikova, née Protasova, later Countess (?1780-1814)

Born Dietrichstein. Lived 1768-1822. She married first Count Phillip Josef Kinsky, then General Count Max Meerveldt after 1815. Angelica Kauffman painted her in Rome as well.View other paintings of Countess Kinsky on Page 107 and Page 121.

Study for Peace - 1780

"Peace Bringing back Abundance - 1780" (Art Page 3). Vigée Le Brun completed two pastel head studies for this painting. One for "Peace" and one for "Abundance" (Art Page 133). This portrait was displayed in the 2015 Paris Exhibition.
