Prince Aleksei Borisovich Kurakin (1759-1829) was Attorney-General under Paul I; Secretary of Domestic Affairs under Alexander I; Chancellor of Capitular Orders (Ordenskii Kapitul) of the Rusian Empire under Nicholas I.He was the younger brother of Prince Alexander Borissovich Kourakin (on Art Page 100), whom vlb also painted.
