Giuseppina Grassini in the role of Zaire - 1805 oil on canvas Musee des Beaux Arts, Rouen Vigee Le Brun painted Giuseppina Grassini (1773-1850) three times in London (3 Mme Grassini; two in oriental costume, one large [&] the other small - and another half-length) and three upon returning to Paris (3 Portraits of Mme Grassini; one to the knee page 120, the third with one hand showing page 90).
