Prince Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski - 1793

Prince Adam Casimir Czartoryska (1734-1823) was a famous Statesman and candidate to the polish throne (1764) and later Austrian Field Marshal. This is one of two versions of the sitter painted in 1793 in Vienna. This version was intended as a pendant to the portrait of his sister Princess Isabella Lubormirska(1782) on Art Page 22. Vigee le Brun also painted his daughter, Princess Maria von Wurtemberg the same year.

A copy of the 1781 self portrait. The original is in a private collection (Art Page 45). The best of the three versions is located at the Kimbell Art Museum in Ft Worth , Texas (Art Page 1). This copy is located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY.
Princess Maria Cristina di Borbone - 1790

This is a color detail of Christine di Bourbon (1779-1849). You can view the full black and white image of Maria Cristina. In 1790 at the request of the Queen, Vigée le Brun agreed to delay her departure from Naples in order to paint Princess Maria Cristina of Naples (Later Queen of Sardinia), her two sisters Maria Theresa (soon to be Empress of Austria), Maria Louisa (later Grand Duchess of Tuscany), her brother Francesco De Borbone (future King of Naples-1825) and her mother Queen Maria Caroline of Austria, sister of Marie Antoinette.
