Countess Ursula Margaretha Agatha Victoria von Schönfeld née von Fries was married to Count Adolf von Schönfeld (1765-?). According to relative of this lady it means Countess of Schoenfeld, which in turn means Beautiful Field, Pasture, an allusion to her and her family's role, function, background of a madame de plaisire.
Vigee Le Brun also painted her sister, Countess Sopie von Fries, later Countess Haugwitz and her brother, Count Mortiz von Fries. Additional information on the Countess can be found in the Kimbell Catalog: number 40.
